Aline grew up watching the mist roll off the Virunga volcanoes from her grandmother's hillside in northern Rwanda. She studied tourism in Kigali and spent years guiding visitors through Nyungwe Forest and Akagera before she started writing things down instead. She knows Rwanda the way you only can when it is home , the shortcut roads, the best season for each park, and which local restaurant actually deserves the queue outside. She writes to help travellers see Rwanda the way Rwandans do.
